Some guys have had problems with teh SD33T breaking cranks. SD33T stock turbos really heat up the oil which I think contributes to it breaking down. If too thinner oil is used it isnt providing enough protection when the oil gets hot.
I run a GT2860RS on my SD and we will see if this extra boost and power will snap my crank. Been 50,000km @ 14psi so far, 35k with stock turbo and 10 @ 20psi with GT and now 5000ks at 15psi and 100rwkw.

Are u aware of any yourself of have you just been told by some one?Just interested because we have had a bunch of them from full rebuilds (black head na motors) to 300000k silvers all up over 170rwhp some up to 290rwhp and better. When someone says in my expirence they brake cranks and the crank in a td42 is SOOO strong I`d just like to know weather it was directly related or weather it was hearsay of caused by bad balencer or mabey failed bearing?Sometimes more power can make a weak point fail.I guess I`m respectfully asking for more info on your sourse.Def not having a go Also going a bit mad from being stuck around house(wet weather).
