Grand Vitara Rim retrofit

Post by green88 »

Has anybody tried fitting 2005 grand Vitara rims (16x7 alloy 10 spoke) to a Sierra or Lada Niva? they all share the (5x139.7) stud pattern as far as I can tell? being a larger rim than the original sierra or Niva rim I imagine they will clear the disc brake assembly.. Any feedback appreciated, before I throw my hard earned at a set that doesn't fit.

Looks awesome mate, I imagine the 5 and 10 spoke gv rims would be similar in shape except for the pattern, (clearances etc). Were they difficult to source?

i have some 16x7 black steel rims that are perfect for a sierra. i bought them but they dont fit the GV as they hit the caliper. $350 plus post.

They are new. Had tyres fitted but removed as wrong offset .

Its not a sierra, but these are XL7 rims on a vitara. I have fitted them to my NT sierra with WT diffs, and they sat about 50mm out from the gaurd (no steel flare)

They are 16x7 and clear the brakes on all sierras, vitaras, SV series vitaras and GV's up to the point where they changed PCD.
