Hey guys thinking of buying a 88, 2.4lt diesel hilux(non turbo) just for weekends to have fun in go the beach etc, does anyone know how reliable the engine is? anything to look out for when buying? i know its no performance engine just want it to get me from a - b really. any help would be greatly appreciated

2 things 2.4's hate are hills and sand. They were not a bad donk but low on grunt. Hope you smoke as you will have plenty of spare time as you travel.

Hi,
want mine? It's a dual cab turbo with Power steering. Just needs paint and some carpet.
The 2L is a reliable motor but crap on sand.
