noisy rear end!!!!!!
can anyone tell me how to fix the squeak coming from the back every time i go over a bump. I'm leaf sprung and thought it was a simple matter of greasing something up, but for the life i me i can't see what.....
well, if it is the leaves, and you are fairly mechanicaly minded, you could pull them apart, and give them a light grease, with say graphite grease, or there may be some friction pads between the leaves that are worn out, you could replace them, if you have greasable shackles and pins, you could try greasing these as well, all you will need is a grese gun,
are you sure that the squeek is coming from the leaves?
if not, your shock rubbes may be squeeking, your body bolts may not be tight, and the momement could be casueing squeeking, there could be other possibilities too....

If its leafs, lift body of 4by up to reduce load on springd.
Carefully wedge a srewdriver between leafs in spring pack to open them a bit.
Spray in aerolsol chain lube (from a Motor bike shop)
Remove screwdriver, repeat.
Also check bushes are not worn out. If rubber replace if urethane grease them too.

got it. jacked the fourby up and sprayed some wd-40 into the leaves. Not a squeak now.
next project is to get them apart and use some grease for a more permanent fix.
thanks for the help everyone...............
