On my mates hilux looks like he can just flip the tie to keep more out of harms way,just wondering if it would cause any problems ,like bump steer Ect.

The steering arms have a tapered seat that the tierod end sits in. If you reverse the mounting, it won't seat properly and probably wont have enough thread sticking through to get the nut on.
