NL GLS Questions

Post by burnse »

What snorkels have been fitted to NL GLS? Pictures please! I have been trying to find photos of different styles. Has anyone removed the side steps and integrated mudflap/flares? They hang very low so I want to remove them and make rocksliders. But am thinking it may look a bit structural under there and possibly need painting.

I thought about that, I have some 75 x 25 RHS that would slip in to the flare where the step came out which I would weld to the barwork of the sliders. But it is the flare that hangs the lowest, so wouldn't be gaining much clearance if I left that part on.

Might pull them off and have a look.

What I did to mine.

Also the snorkle is an Airtec from TJM. Not sure you can still get them now... :?

Just take them off.
Get a normal set of sliders made to suit.

Heres a pic of my old shorty.
