Im currently pulling down my first carbi which has sat for 18 months unused with premium sitting in it.
It seems fairly majorly clogged with a green scale.
Ive tried carbi cleaner on it without much effect and wondering if there are any other solubles which might remove it better?
Im not keen to have to use any kind of abrasive to clean it off. well abrasive harder than my finger nails that it.

Maybe more info needed, I thought you would have some answers by now.

Do you need to unclog jets? and venturi/chambers,
What cleaners have you used and how?
Have you purchased rebuild kit? for your model, what type of carby?

Re: carbi cleaning
Yeah i'd say if your looking to give it a real shiney clean your gonna need some sort of acid bath solution to really get in and clean that carbon build up on the carby.
maybe some people might be able to recomend some products to mix up...

Re: carbi cleaning
All good and running again,
I ended up using a product by yamaha which was an acid bath of sorts - nasty shit! I used it wearing gloves full face mask etc etc and didnt breath anywhere near it.
Was supposed to clean the outside up like new as well (i didnt care about that, only care that the inside was clean) which is didnt do but id did clean the jets and what not nicely.
Thanks
Ben
