Lift Required?
Gday, Just going through the process of selling my SS ute and leasing a VDJ79R Landcruiser, wanting to put some 35" wheels on it but dont know how high of lift i need? Also i heard that the track is uneven front to rear....is there spacers etc i could get to fix this problem?
Re: Lift Required?
yeah yu can use spacers although, like the 35's they are illegal, i am pretty sure you need to use 2 inch or 1.5 inch spacers, not certain. use one each side on the rear.
i am not sure on what lift you will need but you can get 35's under most cruisers with 2 inch lift, so i would think that will do.
selling the ss is definately an intelligent move.

Re: Lift Required?
Seem's like a good reason. But how do you explain to the numpties why going from a v8 to a turbo v8 is better?Moonshine wrote:What after 6 points, 1 count of dangerous driving and court appearance. Yeah i defs think so that why im selling it and im goin to NT/Nth QLD
The worst part about being told you have Alzheimer's, is that it doesn't just happen once.
Re: Lift Required?
Because the way in which holden V8 petrols work is a lot different to a Turbo Landcruiser Diesel V8, the torque curve is different and the gearing etc etc, handling of the vehicle and the design of the vehicle for me changes my mind set of how i drive, if i got a sports ute i drive it hard, i wouldnt drive a 4x4 like that cause it be upside down pretty quick lol
Re: Lift Required?
put it this way, drive it like u drove the ss and you'll start fucking shit really quick.
92 hilux 3 inch efs lift 2 inch body lift 33 inch mickey t's:)
Re: Lift Required?
im trying to go down a different path instead of being a hoon thus why im goin a 4x4, what u mean start shit? also will 2 inches lift be enough for the 35" wheels?
