Hi all new to forum,just a quick one i have a 93 hilux 3l 2.8 td hilux the bottom of timing cover has moved out and is rubbing on balancer all the way around all bolts are still in what holds cover in around balancer/crank what are possible causes.

If I understand you correctly by what you describe as the cover it is the plastic cover which is over your timing belt etc.
If is is still in place held by its bolts (about 10??) and the harmonic balance is touching it the thing that has moved is the harmonic/pulley that bolts onto the crank.
If I am correct it needs to be re-tightened making sure it is on the keyway correctly and all timing marks are lined up.
I would not be driving it until things are checked out

Hey mate thanks for the reply i started pulling it appart as i posted it it ended up being the timing belt locater/retainer washer infront of the crank pulley for the timing belt.... Who ever the clown was who replaced the timing belt must of left it out so it ended up costing me $7 in the end for the washer which was good
