I've been tasked with installing a reversing camera into my mother's car. She wants one of the versions where the screen clips over the rear vision mirror.
My question is what type of camera should I be looking for, ie black & white, colour, IR or not, wireless or wired? I seem to recall IR camera images getting washed during the day.
Also is one type of screen better then another? I've read rear view mirror versions are bad due to reflections from outside but I thought all screens would suffer this problem???
Do you learned operators have any advice?

I have used these on a few vehicles with a lot of success, a few friends have fitted them in the number plate as well.

As far as IR cameras are concerned, you can get the ones that are colour and then in low light turn to IR so it wont suffer wash out problems during the day
