I want to fit a diff with disc brakes on the rear of my lux its a 1984 4 door 4runner the rear end is 1984 as well.

can any one help with info on this please

my bundera which has a similar rear axle to your hilux runs GQ patrol rear disks with subaru rear calipers and custom fabricated brackets. it took a saturday of head scratching and fabrication from 8mm plate for the brackets after prototyping in MDF to make sure it all worked.

there should be a thread on here somewhere with pictures of it but I cxouldn't find it. I can re post pics if necessary.

There is an easy way ORI in sydney sell a kit for rear disc brakes but it is $$$$
85 4SKINNER , totally stock.(Lie ;-) )

ive seen this kit, its pretty thorough, uses custom slotted rotors and callipers which can be set up with twin handbrake cables for cutting brakes/skid steer.

the adaptor plates are laser cut and the bolt on job takes about an hour.

good for mud trucks and zip powered lowered hilux

there could offroad industries and were could Chaios 4x4 think you can get there web site at www.offroadindustries.com
