Suppliers of modded RR suspension parts

Post by TuffRR »

I am looking at improving the suspension performance of my 89 RR. I am thinking that a cheap, simple and effective way of doing this is:
a) get modified shock mounts
b) get spring retainers
c) get spring relocation cones
d) get some longer shocks

I know of a few places OS that make these for Rangies but i haven't seen any in OZ. Can people recommend anywhere that do make them?

Thanks.

Scorpion racing has a distributer here in Wa {Rova Craft }
they will also export any item to Australia at quite good prices strangely enough usally cheaper than what Rova Craft will sell them for!!!

Dave at RovaCraft has a huge mark up and i wouldnt recommend going there , also you will have to endure his fictisious stories about him racing in Paris-Dakar :agrue: .Too Dave is unwilling to sell parts from kits of Scorpion -Racing , you either buy a full kit or nothing , where as Sam from Scorpion will send out parts ! I have purchased ultra heavy duty spring retainers from the US and they are on their way , 15 sets complete for the rear to retain both the top and the bottom , so instead of cones these create a fullcrum affect {replaces the thin steel at the bottom } inc all bolts washers and half the price of Rova Crafts , if ayone is interested i will sell them for the cost price , im in Perth so you pay postage .Also i have shock towers {lowered} and rear shock mounts comming {lowered 2 inches } and stainless steel brake lines 4 -6 inches longer than standard and should be landed soon {slow boat to China} i have a very good importer who will get anything in from the US ! So if anyone on the forum wants or needs anything from US i will be more than happy to try and help out .I have started to import as much as i can afford and will slowly grow to bigger n better as time goes . I believe Kevin at Rover Tech will be stocking a show room full of kit in the next few months .Hope this is of some help

Why lowered? Wouldn't you want them extended to cope with longer shocks? Or am I missing something (no smartarse replies bodge! :finger:
