Tigerz11 Cliffhanger fast filling. Almost sold out Marquees

Post by Hobzee »

Tour dates for meeting in major cities for Cliffhanger and any other CCDA news.
Melb 1/3 (last night) - Big turn out.
Geelong 3/3
Adelaide 7/3
Brisbane 8/3
Rockhampton 9/3
Sydney 10/3

7pm each night and Address and details on http://www.navrun.com.au" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Remember to bring chairs and a treat for Rudi.

Rudi and I will be talking about new stages, new scoring, our not so new property, base camp and marquees, vehicle specs and our sup regs, new classes, etc.

Steve Schafer will be there to talk about CCDA and any general vehicle spec issues, rules, etc and anything about other events.

We are more organised than we have ever been. We have our sponsors all organised, as well as our marshals and have made all our arrangements like the shirts, and base camp infrastructure, first aiders, permits and insurances, etc. Now we are just spreading the good word.

So if you are thinking about entering, being a marshal, a spectator or have a general interest in the competition scene or just want to mix with other comp dudes then you ought to come along.

Melbourne, Vic, Tuesday 1st March at 97-101 Williams Rd, Dandenong South. .........7PM START
Geelong Vic, Thursday 3rd March, 2011 at Rally Motors, 36 Mercer St, Geelong. ............7PM START

The following week we visit Adelaide, Brisbane, Rocky and Sydney - see http://www.navrun.com.au" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; for more details.

Tigerz11Cliffhanger/CCDA Tour Geel Adel Bne Rocky Syd

Post by Hobzee »

Great turn out last night in Melbourne. Presentation received very well and everyone learned a few things.

The re-introduced catering is a hit. Baz wants better showers and we have taken that on board and I got Rudes to agree to this last night.

Particularly happy with the positive response and people entering as well as signing up for spectating.

So much so we are now officially going to set a limit of 40 vehicles competing. At first we didn't think we would need to set the cap but the reactions have been great and looks like we will sell out well before the event.

Dont forget Geelong on Thursday night, then Adelaide, Brisbane, Rockhampton and Sydney next week. Refer to http://www.navrun.com.au" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; for details.

I have 1 person wanting a WA visit - Seems a long way to go for a meeting with 1. Any more takers for WA sing out. If we can get say 10 people then I am there. But if WA dont respond and agree to a meeting then I can discuss over the phone with the few that are keen. Let me know.

News Flash ... Paul at Tigerz11 just then added to his already very respectable contribution ..

Now the winner of each class also gets a 12,000 Lb Tigerz11 Winch as well as a big cut of the $20,000 cash prize money.

Just to remind folks the classes are ...
Open/Challenge
Production
Polaris

Unregistered vehicles may compete in any of the above classes.

A big thanks to Paul.

Thanks to Rudi, Steve & Steve for the presentation in Brisbane on Tuesday night.

We didn't get a big crowd but it would appear at this stage that there will be a car load of spectators heading down for the event. Maybe Linda & Aaron will be competing again? - Thanks to everyone who attended.

We have flyers to display & we can now talk about the 2011 event armed with more knowledge !!

Numbers are coming in steadilly now. Was slow to start. The Tour of Duty paid itself off on opening night alone.

Although there are still places left for competitors, everyone is getting a Marquee it seems and these are limited so hurry up and get your name down if you want a spot with a marquee in pit lane.

Everything is coming together nicely.

Can you imagine how frustrated rudi would be ... (You have to know Rudi)

He just finished the artwork for the T'Shirts and sent it off for printing up the shirts and the phone rings ... another sponsor wants to come onboard. DOH! He so wants to say there were too late but he is also delighted to have them on board... A happy life is a happy Rudi... This sort of thing can destroy a good Rudi and send him in a tail spin.

The moral of the story is .. we are about to press the "go" button again on getting the shirts printed. If your business or anyone you know is interested in joining the Cliffhanger team then right now is the time to act if you want to be on the shirt.

The Tigerz Cliffhanger already known as the best Outback Event in Australia has just added another first!!! An electric car hoist on site..... for a small donation all competitors will be able to use this hoist!!!!!!

The event is not far away now.... 3/8th July, 2011.

Competitors: If you are interested in competing please get your entry form in ASAP. If you are having financial difficulties but want to still compete, then ring Rudi ( details below ) and we can discuss a payment plan. There is no such deadline to book in as a competitor, however we are close to our quota, and once achieved we will close off the entries.

Marquees: Marquees are selling out fast, and we need to know by the end of May if you require one.... so please contact me ASAP if you require a Marquee, this includes spectators as well.

Spectators: You guys can book in anytime, even at the event. However, please try to book in as early as possible, as we have a lot to organise and prepare for you.

Please go to http://www.navrun.com.au/cliffhanger.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; for all the news, information, prices and Entry Form of the Event.

Kind Regards,
Rudi Paoletti
