40 and 60 tie rods

Does anyone know if 40 and 60 toe rod ends are the same? if so what 40 series would inter change with 83hj60 urgent thanks

no i dont think they are. i had to change my swival arms as it was a different taper on the TRE's i think.

Yeah mate, Doug and a couple of guys from the trip saw my post and tried to chase one up for me but no one had a 60 one. I ended up getting one at repco at 8am on sunday but didn't have time to put it in. So my mate wrapped up the one in the car with an old bicycle inner tube the night before it held up so all good!

He got the idea from a bus he travelled in across the desert in bolvia only they use car inner tubes :shock: :shock: :shock:

They do the same when traveling across the Sahara except they use camel foreskins. Only thing is you have to stop every few hundred km to apply Oil Of Olay to stop it drying out and cracking. :morning:
