tryes for GQ PATROL

Hi all,

posting for a mate..

GQ LWB needs tyres...currently running 265 75 16, have access to 265 70 16.

will that make any difference really...5mm to sidewall?

what do others run.

has a 2" suspension life running steel bar and winch

ta
V6 3.0ltr, Aussie 4runner
a few mods want more
looking for a Kaymar rear wheel carrier.....

it'll affect the overall gearing of the car so will change the speedo reading from what he's used to.
But other then that not a real heap of difference

Was running 31/10.5/15's now have 235/85/16's & am happy with them :D
1991 GQ ST-3 5spd, motor stock, 2" susp. lift, that's it for the moment but.........

I used to run 265 70 16s and changed to 265 75 16s. Not really much different, except going uphill, the 70s had a bit more go. Also accelerating from a standstill. Since i have a 4 speed manual however, the vehicle revs less at speed. May eventually go to 285s

you will be going a little slower than your speedo reads by probably 2 %.

they will be fine.

There's more then 5mm difference, it's closer to an inch difference in overall diameter. Effectively stepping from a 32" (265/75R16) tyre to a 31" (265/70R16).

hey guys,

i have 285/75/16 tyres on mine and when sitting next to my old but never used spare 33 muddie, its about a inch bigger not smaller, my 33 is on 15 inch rims though,
gq wagon, 5 inch spring lift, 2 in body, 5 litre efi wheeza
