SURF engine conversion

hi all

i am plannin on putting a vt 5.0 into my surf, which currently has water in the diesel block, but havent got the coin to do itat the mo. was thinking about putting a 3.0 v6 from a 4 runner in temporarily. will th 6 bolt right in or are the bolt patterns different. both are manual.

Have you drove a v6 4runner? there a pretty crap engine..

If the cost of buying a complete VTSS is stopping you, have you thought about the 5.0 from an earlier Commy???
I have a complete conversion for sale, check my sig.

Surf Diesals have different engine chassis mounts than 4 Runner V6s, they are positioned further forward, so no it will not bolt straight in.

Put in a 1KDFTV

big power can be had (mores than a 5l v8)
and its a 4cl for rego etc
and it will use stuff all diesel like try 7 or 8 ltrs per 100km
