gday all.... Im looking at buying a 4x2 hilux ute and am wondering what some or all of the pros and cons are? DIESEL & PETROL

The 1KD-FTV diesel engines have had a lot of injector problems due to fuel quality I believe. Not sure that Toyota has been all that helpful in rectifying the issue either with people being stung $4k plus to replace the injectors. Look out for loud diesel knock when cold, it sounds like the engine is going to blow up on some of them!!
I think most of the petrol engines are ok, but they are thirsty.
