Re: 1jz 91 dual cab lux
so im guessing i need to mod the sump to fit it in then hey? do you guys know what sump they use??? front , mid or rear?
Re: 1jz 91 dual cab lux
You will find they come out with a front drop. I'm sure you will need a rear drop to clear the front diff.
Nothing like measuring and checking though.

Re: 1jz 91 dual cab lux
yeah i know all about the different sumps as ive got a 2j in another car. but im just wanting to have all the right parts ready to swap so its not off the road for to long.
Re: 1jz 91 dual cab lux
Mate of mine did it in a 4runner. His is IFS though. He used a late model V6 4runner box (R series box?) with a Dellows bell housing/clutch kit. Bolts on to the motor and uses the stock cross member. You need the V6 runner front shaft though. He built a custom sump with modified pick up. Custom radiator. You need at least a 40mm body lift. You need a late model 4runner handbrake to fit a decent dump pipe. Obviously custom engine mounts to bolt up to the original points on the engine and the rails.
