60 to lux

Post by georgey »

Hey guys.
So yesterday I broke both front cvs and getting sick of replacing them.
My mates got 60 front and rear diffs I can buy for cheap.

My question is does anyone know the track width difference between the 60 front diff and an 88 hilux diff?

Ive also got disc breaks on the rear and dont want to go back to drum.
Should I just keep the lux rear and go 60 front or is there a better option?

If I do have lux rear 60 front what will the track difference be?

Thanks

forget it and buy long field cv's, problem solved

putting 60 series diffs wont solve your problem as your diff is not blowing

They are the same cvs only longer short side axle and bigger centre.

Wider 1.5" either side.

Track assassin cvs or longfields.

I was under the impression that 60 cvs were a fair bit bigger?
I guess I could wind the carrier bearings up and get Chromos,it would be alot less mucking around and still have the clearance of lux diffs.
Thanks for the advice
