twin exhaust 40 series

Post by loosecanon »

hi all,

my 308 is now in and running, now pricing up exhausts, i have had a chat to a reputable shop in slacks creek, and they say i can't run a twin exhaust in my 45 series due the transfere being in the way.
i didn't quite understand as my stepfather runs a twin exhaust in his 40 series with a 253, i haven't seen the set up so not sure were it runs,

is there any truth to this?? i did a search on this site and found a small section were a guy was running twin exhaust with a 304??

cheers for the help

They are probably concerned about the equaliser tube. Which on road cars they use a X over but they also do equaliser tubes which just have the 2 sides of the exhaust pushing equal exhaust pressure. It also helps with noise.
But without looking I can't see how you couldn't. Ask if they can do a single system & why they can't do the X over there ??
