Custom Snorkel (Hilux)

Post by alx »

Hi all,

I'm looking into getting a custom metal snorkel for my LN106 hilux.

I made a DIY one out of PVC and flexible tubing. It looked OK, but it got old pretty quickly.

...so now all I have is a hilux with a hole in it!

Does anyone have any pic's of their own custom snorkels? And do you know of someone around Brisbane who is able to make them?

They look great!

Where did you get the 3" tubing sections?

Friend of mine has a welder, might have to learn how to use it and make my own.

edit: also how did you connect it to the air filter?

I get 3" tube and bends at the local truck parts shop.

Convert the standard air cannister intake to 3" by cutting off the intake tube then shape a small section of 3" tube to fit where it was and weld up. Join the airbox to snorkel using some 3" flexible tubing.
