i have a holden EFI 304 v8 that is mounted low and about 150mm behind the
firwall of my patrol
The problem is now the alternator is cant go back on because the chassis is in the way.
looking for pics or ideas to mount alternator above where it was from factory
will an older HQ style bracket fit on? might pay to look around some of the old car mags for pic than go searching wrecking yards for a bolt on bracket
i mounted a 1 fz hundred series alt where the old holden a/c was worked a treat only a very minor mod too.
Keep it shiny side up!
Now doing general fab work and painting
trays, trailers, engine swaps on request, some tube work, silo section sliders, rust repairs, ute chops etc
I made my own brackets to mount it as high as I could.
The swing arms are bolted to the head and the top bracket is a fixed arm that bolts to the water pump .
Cheers
Andrew
