Hi guys,
I'm in the process of dropping a 5L in my LN106. I'm pretty well done, but have a problem fitting a front tailshaft from the transfer. I used the gearbox from the 5L as it has low km's and mine is shagged. Basically I bolted up the IFS front tailshaft to the transfer and realised they have stuff all movement through the Cardin joint. It would only just reach down to the front diff hence not allowing for any flex at all. My stock LN106 shaft has heaps more movement, but I cant bolt it to the transfer as it has a different bolt pattern. We tried putting on the flange from my LN106 transfer but it has a different spline so it wont slot in. We cant chang the flange on the shaft going to the transfer as it is part of the cardin which is restricting movement. Has anyone else had this problem? What can I do? Who does custom tailshafts in brisbane and what am I looking at for one?
Cheers, Shane

Just to add, you don't need a custom shaft.
Do as I have said above
