LS1 6 speed gearbox to transfer adaptor

Post by georgey »

Hey everyone.
I picked up an LS1 today and am ging to put it in the hilux.

Does anyone know which companies make the adaptor from the 6 speed ls1 gearbox to the hilux transfer case?

I have looked on marks adaptors but can only find an auto adaptor or a bell housing kit.

thanks

Manual or auto?

I have a 6L80Eauto hooked up to a Patrol transfer.

Total cost around $300.00.

made my own adaptor to bolt the two together and had an engineering shop make the splined adaptor for the drive.
Cheers,

The 6 speed is a manual.

I guess im just going to have to try and get an auto and either sell or swap the manual.

Any chance you could get me an adapter and shaft made up and a price?

cheers

I would be suspect of the strength of the lux case with an LS1 in front of it , I would at least be looking at upgrading to the heavy duty marlin crawler input and outputs ...

Thanks mate.
Already thought of that.
Guess I'm just going to have to try and swap the manual for an auto.
Some TT competitors have been telling me to go auto anyway

Now does anyone know someone that wants a manual gen3 ls1 gearbox lol

I highly doubt that a 6 speed manual LS box would be strong enough for a 4wd? I know a mate is always having probs with his in his VY ute
