"MQ HELP WANTED"

Post by giffo »

Whatsup!
New member, excellent website. NEED HELP!
Questions.
1.- My MQ 3ltr diesel needs more power to tow boat up hills. Whats the cheapest alternative? (Motor in good cond.)
2.- MQ is raised 2" and has enforcer shocks. Body leans to the drivers side, not sure why. Springs reasonably good. Whats happening? :?
3.- Whats an average service price on a diesel and where is a good mechanic in Northern Sydney??

Anyone with good tips on MQ's is gratefully appreciated. I am new to old 4WD (Previous experience a 1997 Ford Explorer XLT) Now I have bought a real 4WD. just need help to learn about it (MQ diesel)
Cheers

honestly after having had two of them, one turbo one not, the cheapest way is to put up with it. Put extractor s& a snorkel on it which will help, but really for towing a turbo is the go. For what you will spend turboing it, buy one that already has a turbo on it.

As for tips, just do a search & you should find heaps of tips, nearly endless i would think

c how u go

cheers

MQ spring sag is really common to the drivers side. Most of em get it a little if they have the original springs in em that havnt been played with.

Yeh, extractors of snorkel are the only 2 cheap options with regards to power, and for future reference ur motor is a 3246cc motor, so 3.2 litre, though everyone says its a 3.3 litre. Not a 3 litre
