4.5 petrol or holden 5L ?

Post by YoungIX »

Im waying up my options here, i have an FJ73 middy with a 3F petrol in it.
Converting to Diesel seems to be to expensive.
So i am thinking about either a 4.5L petrol from a later model cruiser on LPG or
a 5L from a commodore (not gen 3) on LPG

What do you guys think, any advise will be taken onboard.

a 5L would go well.
mate has 1 in a patrol on straight gas, 286 cam, stocko high km 308 bottom end and it flys.
so i'd imagine in a bit lighter cruiser it'd go alright

You'll probably be happier with the V8.

Thats for a hilux not a cruiser.

Thanks for the comments guys, i had a look at mars adapters and it seems that the 5L conversion is quite expensive.

You could make it fit just about anything if you wanted to.
And its alot cheaper than buying all the stuff separately.
