ECU ( codes ), radiator flow ,

Post by linx_nt »

hey guys ,

Does anyone know how to reset the ECU in a SWB 1994 JLX Vitara 1.6 g16B efi.? i have read a few differnt things , so only put it up if you know for certain it works please.

Also does anyone know where i can find instructions on how to read the codes ( how , where to find etc..)

One last thing , how much flow should the waterpump be pushing out ? a trickle like a quater turned on hose , or a full flow?

i have done google searches , and searches on here ( let me know if im blind lol)

thanks heaps guys

Reset the ECU, turn ignition off, remove key. Disconnect battery negative terminal for a few minutes. Reconnect and you're done.

Code reading, download the manual for your vehicle off the net. Think I got it last time on Suzuki info.com

how are you measuring this?

it is normal for the flow to be rather unimpressive, especially if you still have the thermostat im place. dont forget it still needs to work when your doing 9000 rpm, if it worked too good it would suck the lower rad hose flat.

from the service manuall :
"the fault code will be stored in memory (except for code 41) untill the battery has been disconnected for more than 20 seconds"

PM me with e-mail address and I will E-mail back manual.

Be sure when you find out how much the water pump puts out ya let us know.
