4L60E same as T700?
Just wondering if the 4l60e is the same as a t700 or t400?
The reason I ask is because locktup don't list a transfer adaptor for the 4l60e from an LS1 only for the T 700 and T 400.
Cheers

Re: 4L60E same as T700?
marks adapters use the same adapter for the T700 and 4l60E, but the tail section is a 6 bolt after about VT commo i believe, and a 4 bolt for earlier 4l60e and T700.

Re: 4L60E same as T700?
My auto box is from an 04 VY so it must be 6 bolt.
Might have to ring chris at locktup and see if he's kit is the same because I hate waiting 5 weeks for stuff from the US lol
And chris is cheaper and closer if anything is wrong

Re: 4L60E same as T700?
T400 is completely different box... the other 2 are the same as far as I know, though the other blokes are probably correct on the bolt count....

Re: 4L60E same as T700?
T700 is a cable setup, the 4L60e is electronic. There are quite a few variants of each type too. Everything from the bellhousing to input and output shafts, gear ratio's, bands, tail sections can be different.
Re: 4L60E same as T700?
just looked at marks adaptors.
they list a slightly different adapter kit but the gear ratios are the same and the later 6 bolt t700 has the same bolt pattern as the 4l60e.
Atleast i know now that i can get an adapter kit.Its just going to be a bit more expensive :(

Re: 4L60E same as T700?
theres athe T700R4, which is the cable operated box. 4 bolt output(VN commodore)
then the 4L60E, electronic version of the T700R4. 4 bolt output (looks identical) (VS commo i think)
then the new 4L60E, looks comletely different, 6 bolt output, (VT i think, gen111 box)
