We were there Saturday when they rolled back on to their lid.

I reckon there was atleast 15 atempts at full noise.

At some point the stage manager needs to use their discretion and wave the red flag so to speak.

Ice with you all the way mate, shame i didnt see more of you boys on the weekend, always keen to support the locals  but hey look at the bright side you still beat powerful with only competing in 3-4 events so a big :finger: to the rosterheads who dont know how to drive and think they are at a B&S burnout comp. Has anyone got links to a build up thread on the Hotondo Homes team as im keen to follow what they have in mind for next year. Will have to say rock rash racing had the best drive I have ever seen on the mini wereba up till the 60 point marker, they just made it look so easy, well done boys!

First time we have been to Tuff Truck. Kids loved it, was well organised and loads of action. Every event has different levels of skilled drivers. Its great to see the ones who really know what they are doing and make a course look easy and of course its fun seeing the ones who don't and stuff it up big time and provide extra action. From what I saw both these type of competitors the crowd loved and all the competitors win or stuff up looked like they had a ball. No complaints here, we will be back next year for sure.

TUFF TRUCK 2011 was awesome! Great Trucks, Great Tracks, Great Drives, Great Navi's, & Great entertainment for families. Well done to the organisers & ALL entrants, unfortunately not all managed to complete the event due to breakages and lack of parts but 10 points for giving it a go and getting the crowd cheering ! I and all my mates that have been there for the past 6 yrs running will be back yet again and bringing more and more tt virgins ! :-D
Um you do realize ice is a ttc competitor

Z()LTAN wrote:I watched their drive on jaw breaker on sunday, they drove very well getting to the 50 point mark without any un needed numbers. People in the crowd were yelling out to just pin it and to start driving crazy again...

Only once the 1 min time marker was yelled out did they use some numbers and put on a show.

I believe that in future they will end up toning it down a bit and laying down some decent drives again. That is if they are allowed back in.
nath & mark had been spoken to by the "upper" management !!
but i also said to them on the line about driving style !!
BUT ....Nath was seriosly pooping his self !! lol
very pleased & impressed about his drive & said to him ..
" how much more fun driving for 10 mins than 15 seconds it was " !!!

now ...more pics ...specially of "JawBreaker" !!!!

Another year run and won finally

A huge congrats to Rock Rash Racing, awesome driving, well done boys :D
Mal and Nick, congrats for your 8th second (ok maybe 4th  ) you're consistant ill give you that!
Taz and Bug, congrats on 3rd! Some awesome drives and stage wins!

To all the stage managers and assistants, thank you. Without you it wouldn't happen. I had many comments from the competitors on how well the stage managers did, so again a big thanks.

To my awesome wife Carly and mum Ali, who worked on the front gate, and helped us out throughout the weekend, and months leading up to the event and putting up with us, Thank you!

To everyone who helped us out over the weekend, a big thanks. Such a huge event cannot happen without the army of volunteers and helpers we had.

We know a few tracks were tight in areas, we'll look at improving that slightly for TT12. But, as in all comps, you bring a rig thats extremely wide, and has a turning circle of the QE2, you will struggle compared to a smaller size rig. Your choice to run with it.

To Tony, a big thanks to you as each year i'm learning more and more, the paperwork was huge this year, and with 59 competitors, the workload was obviously much bigger than the 37 we had last year,i think we both had less than 12hrs sleep over the 3 nighs but we managed! (I think!)

Pete, thanks for organising another successful Tuff Truck. Without you, we wouldn't have this great event.

As usual, Team Manitu were outstanding, thanks to Mark and his crew, job very well done!

To the competitors, congratulations on putting on some awesome driving (and not so awesome!) displays and the vast majority were brilliant to deal with.

To the absolute moron competitor, that in his own words, called us " a bunch of f.....g cheating c...s and that we're being paid off", over the engineering/show and shine, hope you enjoyed your last tuff truck, as while we're involved you are not welcome back to the event. For someone question your integrity in how you run things and make decisions, its extremey disappointing when i know 100% that both myself and Tony try as hard as possible to be fair and as honest that we can be. So thanks champ, after spending 3 months organising this event to be given a spray like that, we really appreciate it.
I have no prob whatsoever if someone says that he/she doesnt agree on a decision, and explains the reason why, i'm more than happy to listen and if i'm proved wrong ill gladly accept it, learn from it and move on.

But, as mentioned before, the rest of the competitors we have are so easy to deal with, and make the job so much easier to do. So for 1 knob, there are 117 other competitors that are great.

Oh, and Dudelux, there was NOTHING SUSS with the mud on Saturday night :? . The mud is lined with railway sleepers to stop track deterioration and 4 were dislodged. So the decision was made to add rocks in to stop massive holes being dug. Dropping the sleepers back in again was out of the question so rocks it had to be.

Thanks again to all involved,

Cheers Pricey :D
Everyone loves a 40!

I'd LOVE to know who that was! That sort of attitude is something we can do without in our sport, and I hope that folks that work as hard as the Price family never cop a spray like that again, it's disgusting. As was another incident where a marshall was physically threatened by a navi. All I can say to that bloke is you are VERY LUCKY that the marshall in question is a patient and decent bloke, otherwise you might have been in for a nasty surprise!
Otherwise, what a top-notch TT! Best ever by a country mile in book, congratulations to all involved on a stellar effort!
I cant wait to see you all (except for those two ass-hats mentioned earlier) next year!

congrats to rock rash on there win it was a good display of driver navi and vehicle all working well and being consistant well done guys.
mal and nick on coming second again (at least the ladies think thats a good thing ;) ) . opw and mad fab and all the other place getters well done .
a huge thanks to pete and the prices and officials for another great tuff truck.
on a personal note mitch and i made a few mistakes on saturday (like me leaving the line lock brakes on when we went to punch it over the log wall on frame twister and timing out  )but we had a few good drives on sunday and managed to claw our way back to 14th which we were very happy with . track wise a couple were to tight and you couldnt work as a team to try and get any advantage as there was only 1 line through them but to try and get a big truck through them was a challenge and as we always say you run what you brung and do the best you can.
thanks again to all those involved we will be back next year

cheers brett and mitch

That is disgusting we are all there for fun first... Pricey and pricey addressed the show and shine issues we had from last yr and there is no way they are cheats.... Steve and Tony knows most of the competitors cars and what we have in them and if they didnt they looked hard at them... For a competitor to abuse them like that I hope you are never aloud back through the gates of tuff truck.... As for abusing a track marshall there is a time and place if you have a dispute and you were told this at the drivers briefing... That is so frustrating to hear this... :bad-words: ... Name and shame them Pricey
Steve Tony and the crew of tuff truck top job once again...
