Also will there be any night stages in the main creek where spectators get to sit on the top of the banks and watch and cheer? If so will they be single or team stages?
today was the 1st day in weeks for mky with no rain to speak of but there was still no sun !!

Hey all, was at the site on Sunday and it is surprisingly dry. The creek has only a trickle, and it's fine when walking around. If we continue to get days like the last couple, then we'll be looking for some showers to keep the dust down.

Mosko, it's good that you have goals and dreams, gives you something to work towards for next year.

Thanks Phil for the advice. We are going to get Rick to help modify the rods and we are going to weld the tabs onto the truck. We plan on doing a few more comps after this one. So they can remain as a permenant fixture.

Are you 2 going to have a crack at the one in Mareeba in June? I know a few of the Mackay boys are going up.

Hey Brent,

Do you need me to bring up the Fore Runner to make up the teams numbers.

We aren't sure yet. We are going up to watch at this stage. We have just picked up a 5L V8 for my truck which we are keen to get in, so we will see how many dramas we have with that job.

Just means all the water is under the first 6 inches of dirt and will turn to a bog after the first couple of cars.

Not long now Ladies!! :D

How's everyones prep work coming along?

I know pootrollin was missing a complete front diff!

Gudge cut his car in half and moved his rear diff but now has run out of town so have to take pikels gq,

someone cut robs roof off the middy, but I think he's pretty much finished his list of mods....

All I've done to mine is cut a hole in te guard for a snorkel but haven't actually made a snorkel yet..... And haven't fixed the broken hub, or emptied te water out of the front diff, or found out why my compressor/thermo fans/ fuel pump fuses have all melted...... Oh well might have a look this Friday!

Hey all. We have spent the day on site cleaning up, mowing, whipper snipping etc, and the property looks awesome. Most golf clubs would envy the way it looks at the moment.

We have had a few last minute cancellations as well, so if anyone would like to compete, you need to ring me ASAP on 0414 455 542. At this stage we have old numbers for the Friday & Saturday night stages, which means that Wayne and I will just have to fill in, bummer.

Hope everyones prep is just about done. I will be on site full time as of Thursday, so if you need to contact me, mobile is the best way.

See you in a few days.

3 inches of rain overnight in Yeppoon...

Hopefully Mackay isn't quite as wet... or it's just raining itself out now for an awesome weekend next weekend!!

This will be one heck of a nice comp venue if everything stops raining now! Zero Dust - and photos that look like you're wheeling in a manicured council gardens! Talk about Green!!!

Hope everything is going well for you Brent! No doubt there will be some late nights in this next week!

Had to stick a new radiator in tonight. Some silly ol fool dropped the alternator last night when putting it back in and punched a nice hole in the core. All good to go now. 3rd party extension tomorrow then on the trailer for the long haul north. Looking forward to many bundy reds and camp oven roast on Thursday night. See yas then. Lets play. :D
