tb42 carby setup to efi

Post by skidtoy »

we have a tb42 petrol patrol that we are wanting to change to the efi setup and slap a turbo setup on it. have found all the efi gear for very cheap just wanting to know if the heads etc are the same...??? and if there are any things we may run into swapping everything over.

we have the inlet manifold, loom, ecu, injector rail etc but will be making all the pipe work and fitting a dsr turbo kit to it.

also from what i can find is that rb26 injectors are a good choice to run, is this right as i have some out of one of my old drift cars that we are wanting to use.

thanks

I have done many of these and tuned a heap more, firstly choose your injectors based on how much power you want to make, there are formula that enable you to work out rough sizing at 80% duty readily available on line. You can use the more popular Bosch style injectors in most cases by swapping the "o" rings to suit the 11 mm denso style fitted to the patrol.

yeah the head and all that are exactly the same.

the exhaust will be slightly different of course as you need to get the O2 sensor plumbed into it.

so did you get the complete loom that goes into the car and everything?
or a re they a stand alone loom?
Honey i cut the car in half!
