Tigerz 12000 issues

Post by Wozza244 »

Has anyone else experienced these problems with their 12000 that can help me or should i get onto tigerz and see what we can work out?

My Tigerz 12000 was great to start with but now its only done 6 recoveries and the wireless remote is playing up pulsating and not working when i want it to. I went to use the hand remote for the 1st time and it doesnt work at all.
The wireless works fine sometimes and then others its useless, push the buttons and sometimes 4 through up to 8 pushes to get it to work, other times it wont work till the next day? The battery was changed out with a spare i have in the glovebox and it wasnt the problem.

Any thoughts?

I had some issues with my control box, the remote and water. Turns out the control boxes with the remote receivers in them were not a good idea, I spoke with tigerz and they exchanged mine for a unit that has had all the remote crap removed and not a problem since.

I would get onto it quickly as they only offer a 6 month warranty on controllers.

I am having similar issues with my wireless remote, however I think in my case it is the battery contacts, as when it works intermittently or doesn't work the red light is dull or flickers.

My winch is just over a year old but has only been used a few times. I have emailed Paul to see what he says.

I also had a problem with the switch to activate the remote. It seized solid - despite meticulous cleaning and heaps of WD40. I replaced it with a sealed marine toggle switch.

my 10,000 works a treat after a couple of years. but it doesnt get wet all that often.

I had a similar problem when the terminals came loose on the switch on the control box to switch between the wireless and cabled controller. Cut them off and soldered the wire directly on and there hasnt been a problem since.
