hi mate it competed in most of the events it was owned and built by adrian who ran landrover shop in lilydale he has shut that shop down and now runs a tjm store!
The last time i heard was that scott the new owner of the car was stripping it down and selling it of!

When i spoke to scott last there wasn't much left of the car but it use to run a gen 2 i think stroker with full nissan running gear and tubed back end!

Was one of the best trucks in my eyes engine was really good.

Thanks adam

can help with a few pics, but not too much info,

From what i remember it completed in the 1999 OBC as a wagon, (i have it on VHS somewhere) it was also in a 4wd mag as the dark green ute. (i'm assuming these are the same car?) Then theres the lime green ute with the LSx and patrol running gear. I'm not sure if thats a re-incarnation of the earlier ute or a differant truck all together.
Adrian used to post on here from time to time, he may wish to clarify.
It was seeing Adrians, mike smith's, roger smith's and chippa's rangies compete in various comps in the late 90;s early 2000's that inspired me to build mine!

Cheers,
Cal

only prob with using the stage 1 style cab, is there is no room for a cage, and you can't use exo cages in comps irrc

Kermit was originally an old 2 door rangie - I think a 79 model and was dark green.

It was reincarnated as a ute using my old 82 4 door rr when it also changed to a much lighter green. After it's first event in one of Metcalf's comp's in qld the ute body was dumped in favour of a tray. Eventually it was tubed up in the rear - about the same time Adrian started running coil overs. As said he also changed to nissan running gear - diff's, gear box, transfer.

Engine wise it has had lots of different motors in it. 4.2 stroker, 4.6 and I think a 5.2 stroker. Adrian then changed to chevs and the last engine I knew of was a gen II.

The pic of it with the yellow bar work is one of the earlier versions of the cut down 4 door. It was still running all rover gear at this stage.
Warn - Dont leave home without it
