Hello guys
I have just put a 1999 GU 2.8 wagon front axle assembly and brakes into my 92 GQ Ute.
The brakes now have a very hard pedal feel and braking is now worse than the GQ brakes.
My question is, do I have to change the master cylinder or brake booster to match the GU front brake calipers?? or maybe the pads are not working to good??
Any assistance or suggestions are appreciated.
Regards
Jason

Re: GQ to Gu diff & brakes swap?????
Are they the bigger twin piston calipers?
I dare say you'd be better off with the larger GU booster and master cylinder.
i haven't actually fitted one up myself but i would imagine that it'd bolt straight up.
do you have new pads or rotors fitted?
did you bleed the brakes up correctly?

All fixed
Just replaced the pads with new ones. Old ones still had plenty of meat but they must have been a bit glazed.
Cheers
