Grinding noise when brakes applied.

I`ve got a grinding when I use the front brakes on one side only when the hubs are locked in :? its not friction cause i`ve changed the pads theres no scoring or scratches on the disc,what else could it be :?:

I would go with bearings too...but word of caution dont drive it anymore than you have to...the damage that can be done to the shaft if the bearing collapses is mucho $$$$$.
I recently drove my 100 series LC out the gate from work and noticed a rumble as you did. I had to drive about 100mtrs before I could turn and return to work. Next day I rang for an 'all up lift' and took the 4by to get the bearing replaced. I was lucky no damage done to shaft but if I had driven home and then driven to garage next day I would definitely have done the shft considerable damage.

I think the bearing is on its way I have movement up and down but not across and it only grinds under load, but it just got past Rego :bad-words:
stoked so now more work to be done :armsup:
