Sounds good guys! We have some ideas we are trying to put together by March 5 which should be exciting for competitors and spectators alike! Unfortunately cyclone yasi put us slightly behind the 8 ball with concerns of site flooding. But it's all coming together nicely and it's going to be an epic 4 round series to see who stands triumphant at the end of the year! As soon as i get back to Cartel HQ on friday i will sort out nom forms and event info which will be available off of the website. http://www.dirtsprintz.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I'm finishing the Nomination Forms as I write this (actually young Josh and JC are...) and we just punched out a short video clip to get everyone excited again for a bit of dry DirtsprintZ racing!

It's gonna be a big day on March 5 with plenty planned to keep the day fun!

We have some exciting new digital gear to use - including a timing system on a TV output so that all the racers and fans will be able to see where they currently sit time wise in their classes so they know if they've made it to the finals.... or that they've gotta drop some seconds somewhere!!!

Plus all the ammenities and structures that the Project-FMX team have been busy putting together! It's going to end up being a fantastic facility for Offroad Racing!

Anyway check out the website... http://www.dirtsprintz.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
and check out the short vid
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iIlnP-ysy3Q" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Any links to facebook etc would be appreciated!
Cheers guys!

The guys from Project-FMX have been going at it double time since the wild weather has eased!
They have been doing some awesome work out there in an attempt to make access for spectators more user friendly. This includes direct access to the main arena area, as well as all food and beverages being sold from a permenant structure in the arena area... It also incorporates a commentry crows nest for better coverage of the action!

Also the staging area has been moved closer to the action to keep the racers entertained as well as allowing the fans to get up close and personal with their favourite drivers... Aaron Benson will no doubt have an army of young drivers dreaming of glory chasing an autograph and some tips.

Hopefully the weather will stay nice for us and we will also be able to get some of the local freestyleMX riders to put on the exciting display that was unfortunately cancel in 2010 due to the wild weather...

2011 is going to be a huge year and this first round is going to crank up with some quality action to kick it all off!

For $10 entry where else can you get this much dirtsport action for so little money? I'll keep you all updated as regularly as possible.

I will be on site to handle all to be autographed items to aaron. Cant have hime dirtying his hand on everything that the young (or old) spectator wants signed.

All the prep work is going awesome for the Dirtsprintz team. Track is going to be fun and the head to head racing is gonna be very entertaining!
Trophys are at the shop ready to pick up!

Lets just hope Burnsy gives us the light shower in the morning to settle the dust forecast!

But just talked to Marcus and due to it being part of the series we are going to go ahead with racing.

It's gonna be a great weekend!

Thats right, unfortunately after 5 inches of rain today the trucks with amenities and gear for the event were unabke to access the property, so unfortunately they have had to cancel, because it will be really hard for anyone to access, and even get around the race truck

Hey Guys that is confirmed - I'll be doing the ring around today to talk to any nominated competitors that I can get hold of. We will be moving the event back a few weeks to contend with the weather...

Unfortunately Mosko is on the right track, we intially made the decision to run the event rain, hail or hopefully shine, but after much dilibiration about the safety aspects with no ambulance access and the hygenic aspect of no ammenities we have unfortunately had to prospone the event.

It was not a decision that was made lightly and the team from Project-FMX have worked well beyond their straining point to get everything ready - this was a disappointing blow to them...

We will be making a decision very soon about a new date and we will be working very hard not to clash with any existing dates...
We hope to have run the first round well before Easter so that any of you guys that are competing in both events have the oppurtunity to re-instate any removed equipment in plenty of time... we are looking to the end of March for dates at this point...

Please keep an eye on the website for more upcoming information
http://www.dirtsprintz.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

and anyone chasing any more clarification please contact me on

info@dirtsprintz.com

or

0416 106 846

Thanks very much and we look forward to seeing you all at the DRY first round.... I sure can pick the wet dates! Arggg. :shock:

We're ON again!

I've just confirmed with Marcus and the team at Project-FMX that March 26th is GO for DirtsprintZ Round 1.

I'll be getting in contact with as many of the nominated competitors as possible and we will have that track prep'd real nice ready for some racing!

We have attempted to keep away from Coopers Rally, Tuff Truck and Mackay Offroad - so hopefully this new date suits as many as possible and we can get some good racing happening for some CASH!

$500 first place in each of the 4 classes up for grabs!

Gonna be awesome!

Yeah the plan is definately to run it - rain or not!

The boys from ProjectFMX have not stopped with the track repairs, updates and the facility updates!

BOM is looking promising with Burnsey promising that the weather would be clearing Wednesday and the outlook for the weekend looking promising for some really quick racing!

That said it'll still be a real battle to get the right combo of tires, suspension, etc to master the tough conditions that will no doubt be in force since the track will no doubt deteriorate quickly due to the waterlogging that it has had in the last few months... gonna be interesting to see how it all goes down!

The boys are on their way home from Cruiser Mountain now from the Coopers Rally which was very wet - so you know that if it is dry and fast they will be looking at putting on a real show as the muddy track has kept overall speeds limited for the last few events!

It's looking really positive and I can't wait to get racing on Saturday!

I will get you an updated competitor list.
I just have to pull all the info out of the DirtsprintZ file... although we have recieved another few this week.
Keep an eye out here and I will get you guys an update!

Arrrgggg. It's just not our month.

The Fitzroy River is going into Flood peaking on the weekend and unfortunately this will encroach on the DirtsprintZ track.
So unfortunately we have had to remove this Round from the DirtsprintZ series - with the new First Round kicking off in May!

However not to be beaten - the crew at ProjectFMX would like to invite Competitors to come out on Saturday and have a look around the new Twin Track. Most of the area will be accessible and plenty has happened out at ProjectFMX since the last event in Nov.2010...

Feel free to bring some spectators and we will try to find some local FreestyleMX riders to show off the new ramp in the arena area!
Obviously NO drinking and driving will be permitted in any way! But you are welcome to hang around afterwards and relax with tunes, fire and a cold beverage!

Unfortunately mother nature may have beaten us with the racing, but we can still have a great social day and check out the amazing new facilities!

Hope to see you there Saturday - around 9am on should be perfect!
