Im after some info on this truck as i am starting an all out 45 series ute comp truck build. If anyone could shed some light on the running gear and suspension set up that would be much appreciated. And anymore pics that people might have.
Thats the old Dobbin engineering ute. 2002ish. Glenn built his own portals, coil overs with hydro lift, hydro steer n winch. Had a 400ci Chev from memory.
I don't remember much more.
Sadly Glenn has passed away and the truck was wrecked out years ago.
Thats the late Glen Dobbin's truck! Didn't know it still existed!
It was a pretty much custom everything by Glen. He made his own portal axles using 9inch centres. All the suspension was his own design. His was the 1st of the Hydro suspension along with Pete A in his 40

last i heard was it was getting a patrol cab fitted, the guy who owns it was at a tough tracks meeting a few months ago, sounded keen to get it all up and running again for the tough tracks outlaw class.
A mate owns that truck now. His name is also Glen.45 cab has been sold of and its being converted to a patrol. Glenn bought the truck complete for an absolute steal. I'll get some suspension pics next time I'm there or get Glenn to post himself.
from what i can remember it had three link a frames front and rear using his owns hydro suspension based off the old rancho shocks he used a small truck steering box which had the tie rod running 90 degrees to how the norm 4wd link works from the steering box custom portals on 9 inch ford diffs 44inch boggers had a 400 cube chev winch was a low mount mounted behind the cab and the cable run through eye bolts along the chassis out to the front of the truck here was a full read up on it a few yrs back in 4wd action the yr he won tuff truck in it
