What model ?
Petrol - diesel ?
Auto - manual ?
For towing touring or play ?

Factory turbo diesel's are the hardest to find "cheap"

If you want the factory turbo diesel Exp the 1hdft model you will need to be fast as they are often sold (it often happen that the first in with the money gets the buy) You have to be prepared to travel the county to get a good 1

Last of all whats your buget

Yep, the 1hdft's are hard to come by and go quick. I bought mine Without even driving it as someone else was tryin to get in and snatch it up. Have started to see a few 1hd's for decent money around cq. All depends how far you want to travel and what you want really

I want a turbo diesel one and yeah, i know, im gonna have trouble...haha, but budget is up to 15000 and if i find a petrol or petrol/lpg one for the right price, id give it a go, i want it for everything, work/towing, bit of play, basically set it up with a lift muddies, lockers are priority but really just need it for the family as well..

80 series are my first preference, as i have a single cab IFS hilux ute atm, so im ditching the IFS completely so yeah

thanks for the help :)

15 grand will get a td 80 easy, and there are plenty out there

http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/res ... 0&D=hdj80r" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Note the tidy lookin sahara with factory diff locks there ;)

But remember the early 12 valves have big end bearing issues. So any you look at you will want to know it's service history (5k oil changes) and if any engine work has been done, what exactly was involved.

And then when you buy one you will want to drop the sump and check the big ends anyway.

This is not a big deal if they have been done before and only cost's $400-$500
to get them done at toyota.
