reducing lift in 4 runner

Post by burnsy66 »

I am looking at buying a 1992 4runner which has had the lexus v8 conversion already done, all good, certified etc, best of a batch that I have been searching for. The down side to this car is it has a 3 inch lift and 33 inch tyres. My question is, is it easy to drop the lift to 2 inch and then simply down size the tyres a bit?
Also soes anyone have any fuel economy figures for this type of v8 4runner?
Thanks heaps, new to the game.

Just dial the front torsion bars down, (maybe remove the diff drop kit if one was fitted) fit some 2" rear coils and the suspension is all sorted. Then bolt on or fit the new tires.

It's that easy really.

If it has 2" body lift for the conversion with engine mounts, brackets, etc. made to suit, then can take 1" out easily but the other 2" will take a lot more work.

Need more info & pics.
