10 bolt or 12 bolt Vit diffs?
10 bolt or 12 bolt Vit diffs?
Can anyone tell me how to determine what diffs I have front and rear so that I can order some 5.83 R&P's from Calmini. I don't really feel feel like dropping the diffs to check if I don't have to. It's for a '94 swb 8v 5spd Vitara. Be nice if we could create a definative database for future reference for all models as nobody I have talked to seems to able to tell me positively.
Don't know yet but after looking at all the options as I only want to run 31/32's at this stage I figured I'll just bite the bullet and get some but will have to wait awhile as they are out of stock for 4 weeks. The Moab special on their crawler gears is finished and they are 4weeks away from being back in stock too The Sierra t-case swap or dual t-case setup is too much in high and the Lada Niva means running constant 4wd and the Vit's front end tends to leak and wear out seals if running all the time and I figure a clean and simple way is to just pay up and do t-case gears and R&P's and leave all the other dramas alone as it is a daily driver. The wallet will hurt but such is life. If I was going SAS I'd do the Sierra t-case and run larger rubber. The Lada t-case would also be fine but then the high wouldn't be enough for the bigger rubber.
