I've got a set of 15" alloy rims from my gq. They fit on my gu with about 5mm clearance of the brakes. To close?

i swaped some from GQ to GU, picked up a sml pebble & it wore out a groove in the alloy.

as long as the 15in rim has the correct offset you shouldn't have a problem

Take a die grinder to the caliper, you can grind a bit from the mount of the caliper which is close to the rim, take a bit out and you should be ok. Just remember to check and clean regularly
