Can anyone tell me if there's any reason why a cast turbo manifold would be better then one fabricated out
Of steam pipe? The steam pipe items are 200 bucks cheaper then the cast. Any help would be good.

As long as the steam pipe is big enough diameter to not cause too much restriction and is welded correctly there is no reason it won't be long lived and successful..... cast ones are generally factory made because of $$$ constraints and the sheer number that get produced.... basically, for a factory, cast is cheaper per unit in material and labor..... and also can be made into shapes that would be difficult if not impossible in steam pipe or similar..... there may also be some minor gains in flow and therefore possibly hp if a steam pipe one were to be designed with equal length and/or correctly sequenced runners...
