Hopefully your transfer will fit over.

Re: 80 series auto to manual conversion
ok your transfer will bolt up fine to a manual box you will have to change your rear shaft but the front shaft will be ok but i think the gear box X member is in the wrong place you will have to check also the 1hz and 1hd-t boxes are different in the gear ratio

how come you wont have to change the front shaft as well? the whole transfer moves forward due to the shorter gearboxMUD80D wrote:ok your transfer will bolt up fine to a manual box you will have to change your rear shaft but the front shaft will be ok but i think the gear box X member is in the wrong place you will have to check also the 1hz and 1hd-t boxes are different in the gear ratio
yes transfer is the same and can be reused
cross member needs to be moved forward
gearbox ratios are different on a couple of the gears but does not really matter
the main thing is that you fit the correct clutch if you get an NA diesel box you will need a custom clutch with a fine spline to match the input shaft
