internal beadlock help please
hey guys, i have the staun internal beadlocks on my ute with 16x10 inch rims and 315/75r16 mtz's and i am having troubles with them. i cant check my tire pressures or air the tires down with the beadlocks aired up and then when i let the beadlocks down than air the tires down usually to about 14-15 psi than air the beadlocks back up have tried everywhere from 35-50 psi the tires eventually go up in pressure and the beadlocks go down they worked "ok" at 35 psi but i got a heap of crap in the bead and had to take them back to the tire shop to get them cleaned out and out back on. it is becoming a major pain has anyone got any solutions or had the same problems? thanks guys, luke

Re: internal beadlock help please
it sounds like you may have a puncture in the beadlock. this is leaking out and pressurising the tyre. take it out and check it. if the tyre inflates to the beadlock pressure it may fail.
good luck.
good luck.

Re: internal beadlock help please
Do you have the "air channel" model so the air line goes outside the beadlock to allow easy airing up and down? Mine dont and I havd to mod the tyre valves so the beadlock did not cut them off. If I remember I will take a pic of the modded valves.

Re: internal beadlock help please
I took them into a tire shop today and they took them all off and the little flap that gets air through to the tire has ripped off 3 out of 4 beadlocks don't know how this would have happened? And they have been put back together correctly now apparently. but its going to be a pain in the ass because I can't check tire pressures or let pressures down without letting the beadlocks down first then I can let the tire down then I have to pump the beadlocks back up but doing this the tire pressure will go up as the area inside the tire gets smaller but I have no way to check how much the tire pressure goes up because of this missing flappy thing so ill just have to guess roughly. thanks for the feedback though appreciate it a lot guys.

Re: internal beadlock help please
I have second airs, which dont even have that flap thing and I have no issues, all I had to do was notch out the valve core so the note went all the way to the edges as per this photo.
You dont need special valve steems, I just used normal ones from the shop and used a grinder.

Re: internal beadlock help please
After having both internal and mechanical bead locks, I wont have internals again. The issues your having will continue until you get sick of them and replace them with mechanicals. They are both illegal on the road and I see no point persisting with them. My Tyres now stay pumped up because they no longer get mud/dirt in the bead and i no longer have numerous cuts on my hands from repairing pinched/punchered internal tubes.
Those who choose to drive in the mud do so because they can't drive the rocks.
Re: internal beadlock help please
Take the bags to an upholstery guy and have him sew in some extra thick air channels, ive done this before with the first versions that came out before they changed to the independent ones attached to the valve .
they worked ok. Your not going to be able to check tyre pressure if air channel moves away from valve, have to strip and refit.

Its easy, I just put it in, no air channel or anything, and it works, can air up/down or check pressures of the lock or tyre at any time no problems.
