Tiger 11 Cliffhanger 2011

Post by Holeshot Images »

Its getting close now. The 2011 Tigerz11 Cliffhanger. New for this year is a pit lane with all the team Marquees lined up and a Hoist so the teams can go harder out on the tracks. As a spectator you will be able to get up close and personal with all the teams and there machinery.

If you want to be there to check out the action get there on Sunday July 3rd with the kids. See plenty of high speed tyre shredding action during the day and finish it off with lights blazing in a night stage. If you cant get out of work during the week Tuesday and Thursday nights will have spectacular action also.

Only 2 weeks to go now! The 2011 Tigerz11 Cliffhanger is shaping up to be the biggest and the best to hit Cobar. Teams from all around the country will congregate at Tambua Station on Saturday the 2nd of July to be scrutineered for the Sunday Start to this year’s mammoth event! There will be speed, there will be rocks, there will be breakages, there will be sweat and there will be tears as the best of the best battle it out for huge cash prizes and the glory of winning this epic event. Also for this year and for the first time to Cliffhanger is the inclusion of the Polaris RZR class. These small but extremely agile and capable buggies will battle on the same courses as the big guns. Don’t underestimate where these Polaris buggies can go, you will be amazed! For one whole week the best men women and machinery in the country will traverse the toughest terrain imaginable. The creeks will be bottomless and the rocks will be all but impassable. The only way to see who will shine and who will crumble under pressure is to be there on Sunday the 3rd of July for the kickoff to this most grueling of extreme offroad challenges. After it's debut in Cobar last year the Tigerz11 Cliffhanger is back this year and looks to be bigger and better than ever. With a pit lane lined with team marquees for both the extreme off roaders and the Polaris buggies there promises to be plenty of action both on and off the tracks. The cliffhanger is now in it's seventh year and earns it's name from the big finali stage that has teams climbing three metre plus vertical walls using ground anchors and winches and it's done side by side and against the clock. Most make it up, some don't and some end up on there roof, it's a spectacular event! The leadup to this stage involves a lot of extreme driving and navigation through some of the toughest outback Cobar terrain. These vehicles are purpose built and nothing performs better in these conditions. This sport is new to the small outback town and brings with it plenty of competitors and spectators from all over the country. It's a week long event that is one of the most grueling of it's kind and it starts this Sunday the 3rd of July and finishes with presentation at the Cobar bowling and golf club on Friday the 8th. Do yourself a favour and bring the family out to tambua station, only 45 minutes out of Cobar on the Barrier Hwy, and see what it's all about. Arrived today,
Pit Lane is looking awsome, more like Bathurst than a 4WD comp. I think this year Rudi and Hobzee will raise the banner to new hights

4 of us here around this fire, 3 of us are surfing the net on Laptops

Tigerz11 Cliffhanger ‎1st Arb bendigo, 2nd Dave Cameron, 3rd road runner. Very tight competition. New scoring method worked a treat.
