4 wheel steer what lockers to run
Going 4 wheel steer wondering who is running what lockers.
Thought of air lockers but I personaly dont like the air side of things think the lkocker itself is great but the rest could be better.
Detroits I have been told now by a few people that they fail under the shock loading of brakeing an axle
E locker nice but very expensive
Lockrites had a guy over here last weekend brake the carrier apart
Full spool will it affect turning or with 4 wheel steer dosent it matter.Ran one in the rear of my old lux for a couple of years compared to open rear was very hard to get tight around a corner.
Any thoughts?
Duncan

No rear wheel steer but i have a detroit and done two cwp's one twisted axle and one broken axle and the detroit is fine, but only sticky 37's and 30 spline chromo axles.

Re: 4 wheel steer what lockers to run
I read some stuff on pirate4x4....and when talking to a mate, who use to build axles, lockers etc he said "yep sure, same concept as the ones I have drawn up" that and the 2 speed comp winch and planetaries that would fit in a 16inch rim........etc etc.4X4 shorty wrote:uninformed wrote:i know some guys have converted Lsd lockers to be hyd operated.....instant on, instant off
