Mudzilla vs Radial Treps
Im currently running a set of 35x13.5 Mudzilla (M8080) on my GQ.
They have been decent so far, and not really found them lacking for grip in the stuff I drive on, comparing to a mates car I can definitely see there superior to the Cooper STT (obvious isn't it). My biggest concern is that the Mudzillas are bias, and are quite average on the road. So im looking to go to something thats still decent offroad, but a little nicer on road.
So pretty much, how to the Radial Treps compare to the Mudzillas on Mud and Rocks.
Any input would be massively appreciated.

Re: Mudzilla vs Radial Treps
radial treps are far better on and off road
Re: Mudzilla vs Radial Treps
Treps are the go
Re: Mudzilla vs Radial Treps
how do the treps go with how quick they wear?
Re: Mudzilla vs Radial Treps
I have never used Mudzillas, but you don't hear much about them. I had radial Treps in 35s for a while on my GU. I found them to be pretty good all round but never really got to use them to their full potential. Being directional tread pattern they are relatively quiet for mud tyres.
Re: Mudzilla vs Radial Treps
Knowing the area you wheel and having used both tyres there, Id go the treps

Re: Mudzilla vs Radial Treps
its just a shame they dont put much side bite on radial treps, they dont look as HORNEY as bias treps

Re: Mudzilla vs Radial Treps
I don't care about looks but I'd like sidebitters on radial treps for extra traction.pigletracing wrote:its just a shame they dont put much side bite on radial treps, they dont look as HORNEY as bias treps

Re: Mudzilla vs Radial Treps
I know its off topic but have you seen the new CLAW, its side bites are knotched for extra wall movement.SIM79 wrote:I don't care about looks but I'd like sidebitters on radial treps for extra traction.pigletracing wrote:its just a shame they dont put much side bite on radial treps, they dont look as HORNEY as bias treps

Re: Mudzilla vs Radial Treps
I have only seen pics of TTC Radial Claw and the Bias Claw, they both look impressive, as you said they knotched now for extra flex and it might stop them from cracking and getting torn as easily now. In 6 months the bias claw is meant to be coming out in smaller sizespigletracing wrote:I know its off topic but have you seen the new CLAW, its side bites are knotched for extra wall movement.SIM79 wrote:I don't care about looks but I'd like sidebitters on radial treps for extra traction.pigletracing wrote:its just a shame they dont put much side bite on radial treps, they dont look as HORNEY as bias treps

Re: Mudzilla vs Radial Treps
imo unless the sidebiter is the size of the ones on a bias trep or creepy they are not worth worrying about
and i wouldnt let it sway a purchasing decision .

Re: Mudzilla vs Radial Treps
what prices have people paid for the radial treps? 35s and 37s.
