Clunk when turning full lock, what is it?

Post by Rovernaut »

A collegue has a Maverick 1989. He has a loud Clunk sound just as he hits full lock on the steering. It happens when vehicle is stationary. We had a look underneath and when wheel is almost at full lock we hear the 'clunk'. Can't seem to located what's causing it any ideas? :?:

hold your hand over the panhard and/or the tierod ends when turning to "feel" for play.
Another area is the body twisting due to caster change and moving a worn mount. Same deal hold hand over front and 2nd row of mounts.
