sounds like a well setup truck to me. but i wouldn't be paying anywhere near that for the rover.

with the patrol, i think it is supposed to be 4in body lift.

i wouldn't know what they're really worth though. ;)
i think the best thing would be to go chack them out, and make an offer that seems fair to you.

I think it's too much, if it ain't got maxidrives your gonna be popping the stock 10 spline axles just about every trip up Rocky Tk with 36"s.
A bloke in my club bought a 80 (I think) 2 door Rangie, rebuilt 4.6 HSE donk, extractors, 2" b/l, 3"s/l, 35" pedes, f&R ARB's, sliders, bar and winch for $9K.
He fitted h/d axles (after breaking a front one 1st trip out) and re-wired the sucker (he's an auto leccy) and now it goes well.
I just luv my "clacker Jabber"

Interesting to see what mod plates the rangie has on her and yeah 16K does seem very steep, expecially when you have to factor in coming up with an axel "solution"

If you could get it for 12 - 13 I reckon it would be good value ?? What do you reckon,

Price

Post by Roktruk »

Reagrdless of the fruit hanging off it, it's still an 81 Rangie, worth whatever the going price for that year in that condition. Think about what a car yard would offer as a trade - that's a good basis for a starting point.

Then you'd have to contend with LUCAS - PRINCE OF DARKNESS :) :)

Bein an 81 model the goin price would be about $2000-4000 for the vehicle and with all them modifications he probably spent $20000 on top of that in modifications and I would say most modification automatically reduce to 1/4 of there original price almost instantly so thats another $5000

Total $7000-$9000 depending on condition

$16800  Tell him hes Dreeeeeeamin :D
