Currently I have a 5 seater 1989 model HJ63 Sahara wagon imported from Japan. It has the high roof design.
Basically we want to make it an 8 seater but I have no idea where to start. Who do I talk to? I assume that this will be a custom job.
I'm located on the Gold Coast (easy access to Brisbane).

Re: want to put another seat in the back of my wagon
Third row seats were available on 60 series. So I would suggest trying import wreckers such as

80 and 100 series third rows come up on ebay all the time, and they rarely sell. It might be possible to fit a set of those. Being all steel it shouldn't be too hard for a half decent fabricator to mount them in a 60. Similary getting it engineered shouldn't be much of a hassle. I can measure up my third row 80 series seats if you want.
If going this path i'd suggest you talk to a workshop/engineer first that deals with this sort of thing before buying any seats. It should not be hard to find somebody that does it as modifying seats and locations is common in Toyota buses that are fit out for wheel chair access.

The worst part about being told you have Alzheimer's, is that it doesn't just happen once.
